Pricing & Costs
Is it really free?
Hosting is free. You only pay when someone buys a ticket — 3% for community members, 5% for everyone else. Registered charities pay 0% platform fee.
So what does it cost me?
On a $20 ticket at the member rate, Humanae keeps about $0.60. Stripe’s processing fee still applies, same as every other platform.
Payments & Refunds
When and how do I get paid?
Ticket revenue lands in your Stripe balance, then deposits to your linked bank on a rolling schedule — usually a few business days after the payment clears.
What about cancellations and refunds?
That’s your call. Set a clear refund policy and honour it. You can issue full or partial refunds from the Payouts section.
Community & Events
Do I need an existing community to start?
No. Create an event first and invite people in. You can grow a community around it when you’re ready.
Can I run a whole community, not just events?
Yes. Communities get a roster, memberships, messages, and a calendar — so the next gathering isn’t starting from scratch.
Can I host an event with someone else?
Yes. You can co-host and share the work of running the room. Add organisers in your community, or co-host with other communities. Reach out if you want a charity co-host with Humanae.

Do I own my members and their data?
Yes. Your community roster is yours. We don’t sell member lists, and you can export what you need from your dashboard.

How does the charity part work?
Only registered charities can host with a 0% Humanae platform fee. Co-host with us and we can also cover processing. See the charity page for both paths.
