These Listing Terms are an agreement between HUMANAE INC ("Humanae", "we", "us") and the business that lists itself in the Humanae marketplace ("you"). They sit alongside our Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
By ticking the box on the listing form, the person listing confirms that they can act for the business, and the business agrees to these terms. They apply from the moment you send your listing, and keep applying while you are listed.
1. Listing
- Tell us about your venue, your products or your service through the listing form. What you send must be true, and you keep it up to date.
- We review every listing ourselves. We may publish it, ask you to change something, or not approve it, and we tell you by email either way.
- We keep every listing we receive, including ones we don't approve, so we have a record of who has applied. Section 8 says what that covers.
2. Your page
- Once approved, your listing appears in the Humanae marketplace, where event hosts find venues, vendors and services in their city.
- You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show your business name, photos, description and prices on Humanae, in our emails and in materials that promote the marketplace, while you are listed.
- You confirm that you own, or have the right to use, every photo and word you send us, and that none of it breaks anyone's rights or the law.
- Your prices are a starting point for hosts. Keep them current, and quote fairly against them.
- We may edit your text for length and clarity without changing what you offer, and we may hide your listing while we check something with you.
3. Enquiries
- A host can email you through Humanae or call you. We send their email from Humanae with their own address to reply to; your email address is never shown on Humanae.
- Your phone number is shown only to signed-in hosts, if you give one.
- Use what a host tells you only to answer them and serve their booking. Don't add them to a mailing list without their consent.
4. The finder's fee
- Listing is free. When a host books you through Humanae, you pay Humanae a finder's fee of 5% of what the host pays you for that booking, before taxes.
- A booking comes through Humanae when a host contacted you through the marketplace and then books you for an event within 12 months of that contact, or when the event a host runs on Humanae names your venue.
- After the event we ask the host, and may ask you, to confirm the booking and its total, and to send us a copy of your invoice or receipt for it. We then invoice you in your listing's currency. Each invoice is due within 30 days.
5. Unpaid invoices
- If an invoice is still unpaid after it is due, we take your listing off Humanae.
- To come back, you pay what is owed and a reactivation fee, which we tell you when you ask.
- We may refuse to list a business again after repeated non-payment or misuse of the marketplace.
6. Reviews
- Only a host who booked you through Humanae can review you, after their event.
- You can reply to a review once, publicly. We don't remove a review because it is negative; we may remove one that breaks our rules or the law.
7. Being listed
- Keep your licences, permits and insurance current, and follow the laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection, accessibility and privacy laws.
- Treat hosts who find you on Humanae as well as any other customer.
- Being listed doesn't mean Humanae endorses or guarantees your business, and Humanae isn't a party to your agreement with a host.
8. Privacy
- We keep the contact details you give us, and the record of your agreement to these terms, to run the marketplace and to invoice you. They are never shown on a page.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at connect@humanae.co. Details we need to invoice a booking already made are kept until it is settled. Our Privacy Policy says more.
9. Ending and changes
- You can ask us to take your listing down at any time at connect@humanae.co. Fees for bookings already made stay due.
- We may take a listing down that breaks these terms, or close the marketplace, with notice where we can.
- We may change these terms. We tell you by email before a change takes effect, and the date above changes with them.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, as our Website Terms of Use are.
